Step away from the tireless bustle of life's routine and embrace a tranquil landing place to de-stress and recharge. Located in the beautiful back country of Michigan's northern lower peninsula.

MANTON — Manton invites the community to show and to contemplate the meaning of the holidays with “Winter Wonderland ... A Musical Light Show,” several days each week leading up to the New Year.

Bob Borin's light show will consist of holiday lights moving in time with music, coupled with a walk through Borin's 40 acres, which includes forest trails connecting ponds with islands and other features.

Visitors may walk through The Tunnel of Positive Thinking, explore Treasure Island and take a stroll through the Enchanted Forest to the Cabin of Inspiration.

MANTON — Where others saw no more than a stream flowing through 40 acres, Bob Borin saw more. On his 40 acres west of Manton, Borin saw a lake, islands, an enchanted forest — a place where he could not only raise his family but also share lessons in inspiration, imagination, health, sharing, caring for others and positive thinking.

This weekend Borin plans to give visitors a chance to visit the world he has created over the course of several decades in Liberty Township as he invites families to a Free Halloween Village Walk this weekend.

The outdoor walk is not Borin's first venture into promoting positive thinking among children. Borin also has written several children’s books, including "Tommy the Turtle,” which tells the story of a turtle who learns an important lesson in positive thinking and finds it is rewarding to share his experience with others.
